Maeve Taylor leaves her native rural Virginia and heads north to New York City. She immediately gets swept away into the Harlem nightlife, but in New York nothing is what it seems. Maeve is confronted with a new sense of sexuality, self-discovery, love and betrayal and finally learns the secret that will change her life forever.
